My Story - my life's mission
This project isn’t about skin at all – it’s about helping helpless animals through the sale of my artworks.
I’m an amateur artist, but I’ve always loved creating beautiful things.
Since my fur babies, Honey and Kaede, passed away, I’ve wanted to use my time to help other beautiful yet vulnerable animals in need.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve felt an enormous passion for animals. Growing up in Tokyo, I saw many strays as a little girl and all I wanted was to save them.
We lived in a company condominium where pets were not allowed, yet people would leave boxes of puppies and kittens there. As an animal lover, I never ran out of fluffies to play with, but I faced brutal reality more times than I can count.
My heart broke over and over. I begged my parents to help them, but the answer was always “no”. In Tokyo, being a stray often meant being hit by a car or train, and I still remember those poor animals clearly. I cried, begged, got angry… but I couldn’t save them the way I wanted. I cried a lot, begged a lot, got angry a lot… but I couldn’t save them the way I wanted.
As an adult, all I could really do was donate money to some rescues. Volunteering is something I truly want to do, but I also need to pay my bills, and that has always been a dilemma.
When it reached one year since my little girl Honey passed, and six months since my little boy Kaede passed, I finally lifted my still heavy heart and decided to do something to help the helpless.
Art and creativity have always been my passion and my therapy. Since my babies’ passing, I’ve thrown myself into painting, designing and creating. When I’m focused on my artwork, the tears slow down. The pieces have been piling up, and I thought: “If I can sell my artwork and donate the profit…?”
But of course it costs money to do that – materials, packaging, expenses, tariffs. Then I wondered, “Should I just donate that amount instead?” Wait, no. If I invest money to grow the fund bigger and then donate, maybe it makes more sense.
Day after day, night after night, I kept thinking about the best way to “help the helpless” without wasting money. I didn’t want to start something that defeats the purpose.
I realised I don’t need to start big with a separate non‑profit. I can start AAF as a “giving project” within my existing business structure. That, I can do. From there, I shaped the project in a way that feels right to me.
K2yh was born from my beloved fur daughter and son – Kaede, 2 dogs, Yuriko & Honey. I feel we started this business together; without them, I could never have done it.
To honour my beautiful fur babies, I call this project All About Fluffies (AAF).
I want them to be proud of me and feel relieved that I’m trying my best every day to contribute to a good cause – my life’s mission.
Enough about my story. Here below is what I would really love you to do when you buy my artworks.
How AAF works
AAF (All About Fluffies) is a giving project: I create art, you support rescues, and together we help animals in need.
1. You choose an artwork
-
Each artwork has a price listed.
2. You make a donation
-
You donate the same amount (or more) as the artwork price directly to an animal rescue.
*Existing monthly or past donations you have already made do not count for this artwork. -
You can:
-
Use one of my favourite rescue organisations, or
-
Choose any reputable charity you already love (animal or other).
-
3. You send proof
-
After you donate, you send me proof of your donation (for example, a screenshot or receipt by email or message).
4. The artwork is yours
-
Once I receive proof, the artwork is yours.
-
In this way, your money goes straight to the rescue, instead of passing through me and being reduced by GST or income tax.
If you just want to buy the artwork
If you prefer to pay me directly for an artwork without making a separate donation, that’s also possible – although it’s not my ideal. Please understand:
-
The payment goes through my business (K2yh),
-
GST, Eftpos fees and income tax will be deducted,
-
So not all of the amount you pay can go to rescues.
Whenever you follow the donation pathway, 100% of what you give goes straight to helping animals, and I’m deeply grateful for that.

01
Acrylic paintings
Portraits, abstracts, landscapes - some originals, some colouring materials, some copies from images or photos I felt inspired. I take orders for customised animal portraits.
These painting are samples and not every piece is for sale
02
Japanese learning cards
These are Japanese Kanji character cards I designed using Canva.
You can learn shapes and meanings of Kanji or you can use them as cards. I am working on many versions. In each design Honey & Kaede are hiding. can you find them?

03
Decorative artworks
I use a whole canvas into these beautiful decorative artworks.

My fur family
Honey (left, Welsh Corgi Pembroke) was a cheeky little girl. She was almost like a mirror of my soul, and at the same time she was my mentor.
Kaede (right, Cocker Spaniel) was such a gentle, sweetest boy who couldn’t even destroy a soft toy, yet he was my rock.
They both passed away at a very old age, and I couldn’t be more proud or honoured to have been part of their beautiful lives. I miss them every second of every day, but I don’t want to ruin everything they taught me. I want to make them proud, so now I will pass my happiness forward to those who could use some TLC.
